About Abby
A lifelong Minnesotan, a Christian, a software developer...
I grew up in central Minnesota, later moving to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota, graduating with a degree in Computer Science in 2021.
I have always lived in Minnesota and expect to the rest of my life.
I love its environment, culture, and that my entire family lives in this state.
I want to see a Minnesota where all Minnesotans have safety, opportunity, and financial freedom. I am running for the Minnesota House of Representatives because the current legislators have put obstacles in the way of that vision.

My Priorities
Safety
Since moving to Minneapolis in 2017, my sense of security and safety has decreased. The state has an obligation to us, the taxpayers, to keep the state safe.
Minnesota needs elected officials who support, not vilify, the first responders who protect us. There must be legislation that prevents giving violent offenders multiple chances to make more innocent people into victims. Minnesotans should be able to live in and visit our Twin Cities without fear.
Minnesota cannot become a sanctuary state.
Opportunity
Last year, Minnesota instated the highest corporate tax in the country.
Minnesota should be a place where successful people would love to start businesses and create jobs. However, that cannot happen when businesses have incentives to move to freer states next door, threatening the future of jobs in Minnesota.
Opportunity starts with educating the children. Schools are failing in Minnesota. Only half of the students can perform at grade level. We need change now, to prioritize the children and set them up for bright, successful futures.
Financial Freedom
Minnesotans work hard to make a living and should be able to keep more of their income. To get there, we need voices of reason in Minnesota's legislature who will speak for the taxpayers and stop the egregious and ineffective projects being paid for with our hard-earned money.
Minnesota's DFL trifecta inherited a surplus this session, spent all of it, and on top of that, increased its budget.
Hardworking taxpayers in Minnesota are leaving and settling in neighboring states where they are not burdened by some of the highest taxes in the country. Young people, eager to be first-time homeowners, are overwhelmed by their economic situation. I believe this needs to be solved, not through more state programs but rather by conservative spending in the legislature, allowing Minnesotans to enjoy more of their income.
